MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN JAPAN!

Christmas in Japan involved returning DVDs, household chores, opening presents, meeting his girlfriend, and Christmas shopping. Rapidly drinking two glasses of wine caused severe dizziness, nausea, collapse, and near- vomiting; he recovered without vomiting or a hangover. He considers Japanese Christmas secular and romantic—like a second Valentine’s Day— contrasting with England’s more family-oriented tradition.

Christmas continues as shared couple life, while alcohol exposes poor pacing and vulnerability.
