Primary school was sociable and popular; relocating after his grandfather’s death forced a school change that preceded isolation and bullying. At school, he endured daily racist abuse, mocking, intimidation, sabotage, and one snow- dragging incident over five years, mostly verbally. A former school friend recently failed to recognize him after nearly fifteen years, underscoring lost connections and his ongoing isolation.

He increasingly separates childhood bullies from decent adults and sees friendship-building as a changeable goal.
