Patch 1.1.0a nerfed classes, vulnerability, Helltide cinder rewards, experience, and dungeon teleport timing before Season of the Malignant. His level 97–98 Thorns Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian fell from 1.5–2 million criticals to roughly 50,000–150,000. Tier 52 became impossible and Tier 44 difficult; he plans rebuilding gear, talents, and Paragon, finding new Barbarian items unexciting.

A previously empowering Diablo build, central to his recent content strategy, becomes a damaged financial and recreational lifeline requiring adaptation.
