Bought the Insta360 X3 for Vietnam after four years with a GoPro Hero 7; after one week, judged it overpriced. Its tall, rounded, exposed-lens design is unstable; avoiding accessories makes placement awkward and leaves a distorted hand visible. 360 reframing works, but he increasingly used his iPhone for framing control and superior low-light performance.

The purchase reverses from novelty-driven upgrading toward simpler, deliberate filming.
