My obsession with Japan is over..

At 16–17, Evangelion led him to Japanese study and a two-year online relationship with Sayaka, speaking 4–5 hours daily. His first Japan stay lasted five months, moving from isolation to language school, friendships, romance, and depression after friends departed. After repeated Japan–Korea trips and this year’s Taiwan detour, he rejects Japan’s fantasy, values Britain, and wants to build life locally.

Japan shifted from escapist obsession to language, social growth, costly memories, and a self- declared closed era.
